The EE & RE Exhibition 2015 has put on display a great set of existing energy technologies as it was a starting point for the launch of innovative products. Its aim was to stimulate the development of energy market in South-East Europe through technology transfer.
Direct exhibitors from Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Spain and the Netherlands have joined the event. Visitors from 39 counties visited the Exhibition and the parallel events. The products which captivated their interest were energy saving blinds and lighting, biogas installations and technologies, ‘made in Bulgaria’ PV systems which can be applied in dynamic city architecture, as well as in agriculture and road infrastructure, solar thermal system with patented safe-proof sun tracking mechanics, prototype of wind turbine with unique high efficiency, etc. The countries from South-East Europe play an important role the EU "20-20-20" targets. They are utilizing renewables and putting the energy efficiency into the heart of its transition toward low-carbon economy.
This year edition of the EE & RE Conference showed the landscape of energy evolution in the Region. Many steps have to be made and the key conclusions were: ‘There could be no sustainable cities without sustainable heat.’ and ‘The building stock has to be transformed into energy savers.’
